From a carefree and energetic upbringing to a career driven by curiosity and a zest for life, Kacey has always sought to understand the "why" behind everything.

Working in Communications and Public Relations for BlueForge Alliance, a non-profit supporting the U.S. Navy’s Submarine Industrial Base, Kacey supports the organization in assisting the U.S. Navy in their mission of building one Virginia-class and two Columbia-class submarines annually.

Her journey to her current role includes a stint as a Marketing and Communications Specialist in the Office of the Texas Governor where she helped market Texas as a premier business investment destination.

As a breaking news reporter in Austin, Kacey covered a variety of stories including: police brutality protests, the 2020 presidential election and related protests, the intricacies of the COVID-19 pandemic, deadly mass shootings and much more. Seamlessly navigating between breaking news, crime, and daily stories, she captured the pulse of both momentous events and the everyday narratives that shaped the communities she lived in.

Kacey majored in Journalism at Texas Christian University. She also double-minored in Spanish/Hispanic Studies and Film/TV/Digital Media. During her time at TCU, she anchored programs for TCU News Now, TCU Sports Now, KTCU Radio, and “Inside TCU Sports” for Fox Sports Southwest. She also interned KTRK-TV/ABC-13 and KHOU 11-TV in Houston, which provided a firsthand understanding of newsroom operations in a top 8 national market.

Beyond broadcasting, Kacey has a love for sports and worked as a special contributor for the Dallas Morning News, covering football, basketball, and breaking news stories within the TCU athletic program. She also served as Managing Editor for TCU 360, the student media publication at TCU.
